The Victorian Compact Speedcar Club are in the process of organising what is being called the 2010 Victorian Compact Speedcar Grandfinal.
A 30 lap Grandfinal spectacular which will see teams compete in heats and a 30 lap final that will see some of the best drivers go wheel to wheel at Rushworth Speedway on April 24th.
The Victorian Committee came up with the idea to hold a Grand final race to conclude there summer and bring down the curtain on there summer of speed.
With that the Committee was very mindful that they wanted to hold the Grandfinal somewhere that would attract interstaters to compete and that travel wasnt a major problem.
President of the Victorian Compact Club Mike Griffiths explained Rushworth was the perfect choice for us as the track has a new surface and the wide open nature of the track was a perfect fit.
The track is idealy located and isnt that much further down the road from Wangaratta so travel shouldnt be a problem and also gave a level playing field as this will be the first time this season for the Compacts to venture to Rushworth.
With the weekend also being the Anzac long weekend with Monday being a public holiday this was the perfect choice of a great weekend away racing.
The Victorian Compact Speedcar Committee are looking for expression of interest from any interstate teams that are interested in competing on this weekend.
Teams are asked to Contact Mike Griffiths on mgriffiths75@gmail.com
Releases on Sponsorship and tow money structure will be released at a later date.
