The Victorian Compact Speedcars ventured to Wangaratta for there last hit out before the much anticipated Victorian Title to be held at the same venue.

15 Teams travelled up the Hume Highway to compete in what is always great racing at Wangaratta.

Current Australia 1 Danny Stainer showed a clean pair of heels to take Victory over the 15 lap final lapping all up to 5th spot in the final, showing all he is ready for buisness come title time.

The action was behind Stainer in the final with a battle royale between Matty Astrella, Keith Astrella, Jezza Evans and Brad Day.

The four drivers put everything into it running wheel to wheel with Jezza and Day swapping position and riding all over the back of the Astrella freight train.

Final finishing position were Stainer, Matt Astrella, Keith Astrella, Jezza Evans and Brad Day.

John Gordon having his first run back with the club for the season had a great return with the Datto wound up and motoring.

Bad luck again sidelined Wolley (Engine woes, Chooch Griffiths (Front end damage) Neil Pevitt (Engine woes)

Good runs by Steven English, Rob Edwards Jnr and Dean Day sees the trio improving with each outing.

Michael Dickson again thought his bad luck had come back to haunt with Damage to his car but with everyone again stepping in with assistance the purple Datto powered car was out and about again.

With only a couple of weeks off till the Victorian Title all teams will be burning the midnight oil in preparation for this blue ribbon event and trying to unlock the secret to beating the Green machine.
